Kalyan – On Monday, a female railway passenger was buying a ticket at the ticket window near the skywalk on platform number seven of Kalyan railway station. The female railway clerk insisted that the passenger would not get the ticket without giving exact change. The passenger, who did not have change, requested the clerk to issue the ticket, but the railway clerk called her into the office, argued with her, and severely beat her.
On Monday morning, a female passenger was at the ticket window to buy a ticket. As she did not have exact change, she requested the clerk to issue the ticket with the money she had. The railway clerk firmly stated that no ticket would be issued without exact change. In a hurry to catch the local train, the passenger pleaded, but the clerk was not willing to listen. After paying and requesting without success, the angry passenger started recording a video of the clerk to send to railway officials.
To stop the passenger from recording the video, the clerk tried to hold her back from inside the office. The railway clerk got angry seeing the passenger recording the video. She called the passenger into her office and severely beat her. The altercation settled after other passengers intervened.
After the beating, the passenger became even more furious. She demanded immediate action against the railway clerk and staged a sit-in protest. The railway police intervened to calm the situation. The passenger then left with her ticket. This incident has deeply shocked the passenger.
